These are all the drawings I have craeted in my Sketch books. These drawings consist of character designs, level backgrounds, comic strips for cutscenes, game props and tilesets.

MONICA

This was my first drawing attempt of Monica. I drawn in pencil  to get the lines as perfect as I felt I could get them, then went over it in a brush pen give the lines a thicker and darker lines, which make it look more in line with most comic books which I am looking at as research.

This is my second attempt at drawing the lisa character which looks completely different to the first, mainly the hair was shorter and more "Punk" like. I also gave her cheak lines which Monica has as its just a stylisic feature they both have as they are sisters. Though sometimes they look more like tired eye marks than cheak marks. I also gave Lisa pericings which i feel make her more look more like a "punk teenager".

This is a random character i designed for the cafe store for my game. you will take to this person for information (game tips and tricks) and consumables you can use in fights.

I need to redraw the whole body as she sits behind the counter but i will use this designs for the head and hair style.

These are concepts for items and objects that will be used as decoration for my maps. I created trees, bushes, trash, and household items which will be use for the apartment and town map. I feel some of these objects should be animated such as the trash as i could have it blowing in the wind or have the trees blow in the wind. I feel this make my game more realistic and look more stunning than having still objects throughout my game, making it overall feel static.

Assets #2

These are concepts for objects for the town map. These items include road signs, a fence, bus shelter, bin and bench. The objects are scenic only and will have a collision box stopping the player from walking over them which i feel gives objects depth. i also want to allow some objects to feel 3D by having the player walk behind them which again makes the game have depth.

Building tile-map #1

These are different tiles of tiles with door and windows which put together will make a building such as an apartment exterior or a store font by mixing and matching tiles. I looked at american buildings from the east side which are old and abandoned or run down as references since my town in the game will have those same traits.

Here are a few of the many tiles i will need to make for my game as i want each building to look unique in a way but even if i just have these tiles the game should look varied enough.

Like the other assets i will use adobe illustartor to redraw these tiles and use piskel to pack them into a tilesheet which i can easily transfer into construct 3.

Here are some more concepts of Monica, i created these as posters as in the game versions of Monica wont have this much detail in comparison. I will most likely add these to the art screen in my game for the player to view if the wish too.

Player Animation draft #1

Here is a quick draft animation for Monica when the player moves around the game. The individual designs are directions and states of the player such as walking in a direction or sprinting left and right. I have a list for my animations for Monica and enemies so far but when i feel they look good i will recreate the animation frames in illustrator or adobe animate for smoother animations.
